A massive fire broke out in a plastic scrap godown at Gaganpahad on outskirts of Hyderabad. The fire control room officials claimed that, the fire broke out due to electric short circuit. The Karnataka cabinet decided to allow sale of sand in bulk (truckloads), as opposed to sandbags. Presently, Mysore Sales International Ltd is selling Malaysian sand at Rs 200 per 50 kg bag. A bus belonging to IndiGo Airlines caught fire at the airport here while ferrying passengers of a domestic in-bound flight, according to airport officials.
