A day after cases of voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) machines were found abandoned in a shed in Vijayapur district of Karnataka, state BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa has written to the election commission, alleging "grave irregularities" in the recently conducted assembly elections. In yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistani Rangers today fired mortar shells on border outposts at several places in Jammu and Kashmir, prompting retaliation by the Border Security Force or BSF soldiers guarding the International Border. Xiaomi will launch the third-generation Mi Max smartphone in July.
